Winvian

Two weekends ago I embarked on an out of town getaway. It was glorious to have a jaunt unrelated to my day job. The location was a bit of a (nice) surprise as I knew I was heading to Litchfield County but didn’t know the resort itself. Winvian’s 18 cottages were created by 15 architects on 113-acres of pristine land. With a spa on site and food by Chef Eddy, we rotated in and out of our Connecticut Yankee cottage.

One afternoon we wandered into town to discover estate jewelry and exceptional antique shops. I scored a set of four vintage Japanese glass coasters with tall tin trim, all of which I have repurposed as jewelry boxes.

The perfect wrap-up to a lounging, lingering, lovely weekend was our dinner at Community Table. Folks, this spot feels like a secret garden. It is a must-go, must-eat. Trust me.
